Terms of service

These terms govern the use of toppeople.world, run by Pau Castellvi Buqueras (tax ID 39938373T), Carrer Sant Antoni 8, 43340 Montbrió del Camp, Tarragona, Spain. Contact: [email protected].

1. What TopPeople is

TopPeople is a public leaderboard of people ranked only by the money paid to promote their profiles. A position shows paid visibility. It says nothing about anyone’s merit, talent or worth.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 to create an account or pay.
• One account per person. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Your profile must describe you. Impersonating someone else, or using a photo you have no right to use, is not allowed.

3. Payments

• Prices are in US dollars, from $1.00 to $10,000.00 per payment, and include any applicable taxes. Stripe processes every payment; TopPeople never sees your card.
• Boosting your own profile is a payment to TopPeople for visibility.
• Backing someone else: after Stripe’s processing fee, half of the net goes to that person’s Stripe account and half to TopPeople.
• The full amount counts toward the ranking once Stripe confirms the payment. Payments add up; passing someone costs the gap plus $1.00, and ties go to whoever reached the total first.
• No position is guaranteed. Anyone can pay more and pass you at any time, and that is not a reason for a refund.

4. Right of withdrawal

What you buy is a digital service delivered at once: the amount enters the ranking as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. Before paying you ask for that immediate delivery and acknowledge that, once it happens, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal (article 103(m) of the Spanish consumer law, RDL 1/2007).

5. Refunds and disputes

• If a payment is taken by mistake or twice, write to [email protected] within 14 days and it will be refunded.
• A refund or a card dispute removes that amount from the ranking. On support payments, the share already sent to the backed person is clawed back in proportion.

6. Receiving support

To receive support you connect a Stripe account and accept Stripe’s terms. Stripe decides who can be paid out. You are responsible for declaring and paying taxes on what you receive.

7. Content

• You keep the rights to your name, photo, bio and links, and give TopPeople a free, worldwide licence to show them on the site and in shares of it while your profile exists.
• Not allowed: illegal content, hate, harassment, sexual content, content about minors, spam, scams, malware or links to them.
• TopPeople may hide profiles, messages or links that break these rules. Money already paid for a profile hidden for breaking them is not refunded.

8. Liability

The site is provided as it is. TopPeople is not liable for interruptions, for what users post, or for decisions by Stripe. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and termination

These terms may change; the date above shows the current version, and important changes are announced on the site. You can ask to close your account at any time by writing to [email protected].

10. Law and courts

Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence.
