Rules

Rising

• Profiles are ordered by the money paid to promote them. Nothing else counts.
• Any confirmed payment moves a profile up, whoever pays it. The minimum is $1.00 and the maximum $10,000.00 per payment.
• Payments add up. To pass someone you pay the gap plus $1.00.
• Ties go to whoever reached the total first.
• Your position changes only once Stripe confirms the payment, not when you start it.

Backing someone else

• The full amount counts for their position.
• After Stripe’s processing fee, 70% of the net goes to their Stripe account and 30% to TopPeople. An indivisible cent stays with TopPeople.
• They can only receive it once they have connected a Stripe account. Until then, backing them is not possible.
• You can leave a message with your support. It appears on their page once the payment is confirmed, and they can hide it.

Promoting yourself

• The whole amount goes to TopPeople. It buys visibility, not a guarantee.
• Anyone can pay more and pass you at any moment. That is the game, and it is not a reason for a refund.

Periods

• All-time counts every confirmed payment.
• Today counts payments since 00:00 UTC, and This week since Monday 00:00 UTC.
• A profile can be first today and far down all-time, or the other way round.

Money back

• A refunded or disputed payment is taken off the ranking, and the share already sent to the backed person is clawed back in proportion.
• Mistakes and double charges are refunded. Losing your position is not a mistake. The details are in the Terms.

Fair play

• Your profile must be you, and your photo must be yours to use.
• Profiles that break the rules can be hidden, and money paid for them is not refunded.
• Hearts and follows are free and do not affect the ranking at all.
